Former pop
power couple BRITNEY SPEARS and
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE were reunited
-- although on opposite sides of the
auditorium -- at the "2002 Teen Choice
Awards" celebration Sunday night.
ET's MARIA MENOUNOS was front
and center for the star-drenched mayhem.
She caught up with the now-single Justin
to ask about the gossip linking him
to JANET JACKSON. "Rumors are
rumors and that's why they're out there.
They make things interesting," the cool
*N SYNC-er replied. Maria also
got the lovin' lowdown from PAMELA
ANDERSON. The ex-"Baywatch" beauty
set the record straight about her relationship
with fiancé KID ROCK: "We're
doing well, we're fine!" She also told
ET she plans on having more children
in the future.
The energetic event allowed fans to
vote for their "choice" celebs in various
categories. On hand for the hip Hollywood
fun were wrestler THE ROCK, FRANKIE
MUNIZ, SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR,
JACK & KELLY OSBOURNE,
BEN STILLER, SETH GREEN,
TIM ALLEN, TOM GREEN,
and REESE WITHERSPOON, who was
honored with the Extraordinary Achievement
award.
Providing some extra-groovy performances
were the always luscious lads of 'N
Sync, Justin Timberlake and pal JOEY
FATONE, extreme hottie JENNIFER
LOVE HEWITT, who made her nationally
televised singing debut, the one and
only SEAN "P. Diddy" COMBS,
Britney Spears, NICK CARTER of
the BACKSTREET BOYS, DESTINY'S
CHILD's own shagoramic babe BEYONCÉ
KNOWLES, SUGAR RAY's studly
MARK McGRATH, TWEET and
USHER.
MATTHEW PERRY and MATT LE
BLANC accepted the award for Choice
TV Comedy, while Britney added another
statue to her collection for Choice
Female Artist. As for the other big
winners -- watch the awards' TV broadcast
to find out! Winners were voted on by
trendy teens everywhere via Seventeen
magazine and FOX's website.
ET also went behind the scenes as the
happy presenters and performers picked
out various goodies from the "Backstage
Creations" retreat! Among the high-end
gear up for grabs: colored contact lenses,
cell phones, shoes and watches!
